The character education program at Christ Church School is in keeping with the school’s mission of educating the whole child. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade meet for character education one time each week for twelve weeks. In kindergarten through third grade, the curriculum focuses on four different areas of study. They are: Skills for Learning, Empathy, Emotion Management, and Problem Solving. In fourth and fifth grade, the curriculum includes three units. They are: Empathy and Skills for Learning, Emotion Management, and Problem Solving. The lessons engage students by incorporating class discussions, interactive activities, and a variety of technology and media resources.
