Each year, Christ Church School holds various events to recognize excellence in specific areas of study.

They are:

Scripps National Spelling Bee

First through fifth grade students participate at the local level of the Scripps National Spelling Bee Program through The Miami Herald. After winning “spell-downs” in their classrooms, four students from each grade compete to represent CCS at the county-wide level in The Miami Herald Broward County Spelling Bee.

Geography Bee

Fourth and fifth grade students participate in the Christ Church School Geography Bee. It is held each year to promote geography and an appreciation of the physical and human world God created. Ten finalists are determined after preliminary rounds in their classrooms.

Robotics Competition

Third through fifth grade students can join our robotics team where they compete in various local robotics competitions. Students compete against other teams to complete challenges with their robot. Students meet regularly to program their robots and use critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity to complete the various assigned tasks.

CCS Bible Brain Games Championships

At Christ Church School, Bible study is an integral component of our curriculum. Our first through fifth grade students are able to display their extensive knowledge by participating in the Bible Brain Games Championships after winning their classroom qualifying event.

Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Contest

All students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade take part in the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Contest. Kindergarten, first and second grade students give samples of their best manuscript writing, and students in third through fifth grade demonstrate their proficiency in cursive writing. Christ Church School is proud to have had numerous state grade level winners over the years, as well as a national grade level winner.
