Innovation Lab & Computer Science

The iLab is utilized for Computer Science courses and classroom projects. It is a large flexible space, equipped with a variety of current technologies such as 3-D printers, robots, device carts, broadcasting, Livestream, and more.

Learning Commons

The Christ Church School Learning Commons is a dedicated space for all students and their families. The Learning Commons includes an open floor plan with flexible furnishings to allow for a variety activities. A collection of approximately 8,000 volumes including electronic books, more than 15 periodical subscriptions, and a comprehensive list of online databases are available to students and faculty.

Library Media Classes

The library media program fosters a love of reading that renders a positive attitude towards lifelong learning. Students in PK2 through fifth grade participate in weekly library classes to learn how to use the library and find information.

Art

“You are a MASTERPIECE in the making!” - Desmond Tutu

At Christ Church School, every child is an artist! PK4 through fifth grade students explore the elements of art, art history, and art as a means of mental health and self-expression. Students meet weekly in our Art Studio for painting, clay work, drawing, and a variety of other mediums.  Art lessons are often tied to in-class learning to further explore their core subjects and complement the learning experience.

Physical Education

PK3 through fifth grade students attend weekly scheduled classes instructed by the physical education teacher. Emphasis is placed on physical fitness, and each class begins with various types of cardiovascular activity. Students are given the opportunity to explore movement activities as well as instructional foundations for successful movement. Units through the year focus on various sports with their techniques and rules of play.

First through fifth grade students attend scheduled classes instructed by the science resource teacher in a Christian-based science learning environment. The science lab provides students exposure to all categories of science: Earth, Life, and Physical, through hands-on exploration, activities, and experiences.

Music

The music program complies with the philosophy of Christ Church School in developing the whole child. All students, PK2 through fifth grade, attend weekly scheduled classes instructed by a full time music teacher. The curriculum includes Christian, secular, and multi-cultural musical selections and activities which create an environment and provide learning experiences that are designed to enhance the students’ spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.
