2022/2023 Basketball Season Recap

The CCS basketball team had a very successful year with the word overachieving best describing this year’s team. This year’s team finish the year with a 4-5 record, good enough to finish fourth place in league play, only to lose in the semi finals of conference play. This year’s squad had only 2/5 graders on the team, led by captain Grace Johnston and Mikel Arriola Orviz. The future looks bright as the top four scores in Austin Costa, Peyton Healey, Colin Letourneau, and Jash Bhatt all return next year.

The basketball season begins in early November and ends in the middle of January.

Games are scheduled for once or twice a week against other small Christian schools in our community. The season consists of approximately ten games, which are held right after school in either the CCS Gym or at the opposing school. Parents are responsible for transporting their child to and from games. CCS does not provide transportation. Tryouts are open to boys and girls in Fourth and Fifth grade.

If your child is interested in joining the CCS Basketball team, more detailed information will be sent out to the parents as the season nears. Feel free to contact Coach Carl Sallade with any questions at [email protected].
