Academics

Christ Church School is an educational ministry of Christ Church. Students in the Pre-Kindergarten 2 program through fifth grade are provided with positive influences – from caring, nurturing Christian teachers to a challenging curriculum designed to educate the total child, and promote growth in all areas of development – intellectual, social, physical, spiritual and emotional. Curriculum areas are integrated with an emphasis on a developmentally academic approach to learning taught from a Christian perspective. The curriculum helps build a foundation for life, and lends to future academic success. These influences help students develop a sense of traditional values and character while fostering each child’s God-given abilities and talents.

The Christ Church School educational program stresses academic skills, good study habits and personal responsibility. The curriculum includes a strong emphasis on academics and enrichment programs that take students well beyond the basics. These programs include art, music, Spanish, physical education and access to modern technology in the Library Media TechnologyCenter. All aspects of community and learning are anchored in Biblical principals helping to develop a solid foundation for Christian character and growth. Christ Church Students attend chapel each week where they continue to learn about God’s love through worship and Biblical teachings. Civic involvement and a sense of community are encouraged through participation in projects that aid charities, social service agencies and environmental groups. We are proud to graduate caring, competent and confident young adults.

The faculty and staff provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for students. A low student/teacher ratio enables teachers to give students the individual attention that contributes to their success. A variety of teaching techniques are used to meet the needs of the students and to support them during their years spent at Christ Church School. Students are challenged to reach their potential academically as well as in all areas of their development. Students feel accepted; respected as an individual and able to express themselves. They are given opportunities to discover their special gifts or talents through enrichment programs and activities planned as part of the curriculum. A cooperative spirit exists between the students, faculty and staff.  Students are encouraged to display Christ-like behavior as modeled by the faculty and staff. A positive discipline approach with clearly defined expectations fosters self-control and accountability.
