Health & SafetyDear Christ Church School Parents,
Christ Church School is proud of the extensive measures we take to to ensure the health and safety of our students. We are aware of how important it is to provide an atmosphere that is secure and healthy.
In terms of safety, our campus is equipped with security cameras, and we adhere to a strict campus visitor policy. In addition, we have a number of detailed emergency plans in place. These plans would allow us to react in an effective and timely manner to emergency situations that may arise. You can read more about our emergency plans on page 11 of our Student Handbook.
With regard to the health of our students, we continue to take a proactive approach to wellness. We remain committed to our school health and safety procedures during flu season. Please be sure to read the Christ Church School Sickness Policy and Seasonal Flu Parent Guide (see below). These will assist you in working with the school to provide an optimal learning environment for our students. Please be sure to check this page often for updates and/or changes in our policy.
Influenza A is a communicable condition; and, as stated in our Sickness Policy, we will inform you when a case has been reported to us. Influenza A is confirmed through the Rapid Test and has the potential to be in the spectrum of H1N1 flu. According to the Broward County Health Department, the signs and symptoms of Influenza A and H1N1 include: fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting. If you suspect your child has Influenza A, please consult your family doctor. Your doctor can diagnose the infection. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Operations Manager, Michele Fee, at mfee@ccsfl.org or by calling 954.771.7700, ext. 224.
Thank you for your cooperation!
In His Service,
Tane Bonham
